Sugarbush and Mad River Valley Real Estate

Beth Austin, Broker/Owner

There's a certain person who can help you make it fly if you're
wondering about,
wandering about,
searching for,
thinking of selling,
fixing up,
hoping to rent,
or acquiring any sort of property
in our beautiful Vermont valley.

Her name is Beth Austin

And she knows how to get almost any job done right.

Email

Having lived in the Valley since 1966, Beth knows her community and often matches a buyer to the perfect home on the first showing. People have described Beth as a walking encyclopedia which she claims is an exaggeration. She does much more than you might expect when she goes to work for you using the knowledge she has accumulated about bank loans, perc tests, the latest legislation, local tax rates, construction techniques, the politics of water testing, how to move your lilac bushes and who to call if you want to do just about anything to your home, or one you're thinking about buying. As one admirer observed, "Beth doesn't know the meaning of the word impossible. When we told her what we were looking for, instead of a 'that's what everybody wants' attitude, we ended up with a home we really love." It's not even unusual for people to end up buying the first home Beth shows them!

Beth is past President of the Central Vermont Board of Realtors and has held other leadership positions in the Vermont Association of Realtors. She holds several advanced designations including e-PRO, which is currently held by only 4,000 Realtors nationwide, and frequently attends seminars, clinics, and specialized training sessions relating to her field.

She's very committed

Beth knows her community. Chances are she'll put you together with just the home or buyer you're in need of. In her own words, her goal is "to give you, the seller, and you, the buyer, the best service possible through my own dedication to, enjoyment of, and informed involvement with the real estate field." This commitment pays off for everyone involved - just keeping up with the legalities inherent in buying and selling real estate is a job in itself—one at which Beth manages to excel.

She knows this area

Beth was born in the Canadian province of Ontario and moved to the Mad River Valley in 1966. Her personal life is rounded out, time and weather permitting, by as much downhill skiing as possible, tennis, gardening, and time on Lake Champlain.

Beth really does her homework

Her memberships and current and past positions include:

  • Current Chair of Vermont Realtors Political Action Committee (VRPAC)
  • Past President of Central Vermont Board of Realtors
  • Past State Director of Vermont Ass'n of Realtors
  • Past Chairperson for Vermont Association of Realtors Legislative Committee and Current Member
  • Honored as Realtor of the Year in 1997 by the Central Vermont Board of Realtors
  • National Association of Realtors
  • Northern New England Real Estate Network (NNEREN)
  • Central Vermont Multiple Listing Service (MLS)

  • Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)
  • Certified Buyer's Representative (CBR)
  • Past President of the Vermont Chapter of the Certified Residential Council

In addition to these hard-earned credentials, Beth continues to attend seminars, clinics, and specialized training sessions relating to her field.
